Health and accident insurance
Students enrolled in a IUKB programme have to be insured against sickness and accident. A certificate of accident and health insurance covering Switzerland is requested.
Visa
Entry visa for Switzerland is necessary for citizens from countries in Eastern Europe , Africa , Asia and South America (be aware that Switzerland is not a member of the European Union and not part of the Schengen Agreement). We strongly recommend enquiring in time at the competent embassy or consulate to find out the specific conditions applicable to you.
Travel
The Institut Universitaire Kurt Bösch (IUKB) is situated in the Rhone River Valley , next to the town of Sion , at 150 km from Geneva and 300 km from Zurich . The University of Fribourg is located in Fribourg, at 140 km from Geneva and 150 km from Zurich . There are trains every hour that connect the international airports of Geneva and Zurich to either Sion or Fribourg.

The institute has a campus of 32 beds (8 single rooms and 12 twin rooms, including 3 rooms for handicapped people), located next to the main building, the classrooms and the offices.

Hotels / Hostels
IUKB is located in Bramois, a small village situated 5 km from the Sion city centre.
Buses will be organized in the morning and in the evening at 2 different locations (railway station, Hotel du Rhône, Rue du Scex 10) to drive the participants from Sion to the IUKB. The following list gives you a choice of hotels / hostels not far from these places (this list is non-exhaustive).

Financial support
As no fellowships are available, we strongly recommend to look for financial assistance to authorities, institutes or NGOs in your own country, as these offer the highest chances to obtain positive results, i.e. national grant authorities, local governmental or non-governmental child rights agencies, international organisations or private foundations that consider individual requests for fellowships.
